ABOUT THE ARTIST

Mixed Media Contemporary artist Pamela Fox Linton is a resident of Del Mar, Ca., after being raised and educated in the Chicago area. She earned a B.S. in Interior Design and Architecture from Southern Illinois University. After working as an interior designer, including Parron Hall Office Interiors in San Diego, she studied painting at The Athenaeum in La Jolla, and ongoing through private instruction and classes.

She displayed and sold her work at the Del Mar Art Center Gallery in the Del Mar Plaza for 18 years, and has held the board positions of Secretary and Gallery Manager. Other galleries and installations include Ashton Gallery in San Diego, Off Track Gallery in Encinitas, L Street Gallery in San Diego, Herbert B. Turner Gallery in Del Mar, San Diego Art Institute, Chase Bank in Del Mar Village, Del Mar Civic Center, Freeman Medical Towers, Front Porch Gallery in Carlsbad, and Cinepolis Theaters in Del Mar and La Costa, with buyers and collectors from three continents.

The Del Mar Times is quoted as saying “she’s an artist who finds inspiration from unlikely places” in reference to the use of found objects and mixed media used to enhance her contemporary, abstract paintings.

“My mission is to not merely fill an empty space on a wall, but to have our living and working environments reflect the people who dwell in them. Their art should intrigue them, motivate them, or make them feel passionate about their lives and experiences.”
